White Cup - Draw Rules

White Cup Knock-out Board competition. A Foursomes match play competition. All players calculate their playing handicaps as being 100% of their respective Course Handicaps. Shots given are then calculated by taking 50% of the difference between the two teams' combined playing handicaps. Playable on either course, off the Yellow Tees. The team or individual(s) on the bottom of the draw may choose the course if there is any disagreement. The final to be played over 18 holes. In the event that a match being tied after 18 holes, then extra holes to be played with strokes allocated as if a full round were to be played. Open to Veterans aged 55 or over with a WHS handicap and who, by the day the competition closes for entry, have registered a minimum of 8 WHS acceptable scores , over 9 or 18 holes, in the last 12 months, excluding the 3 cards used to establish their initial handicap. Not open to Country Members. Each round will have approximately 4 weeks to be played. The lower team or individual(s) on the draw sheet are responsible for contacting their opponents and offering a minimum of 2 dates. If none of these dates are suitable, mutual effort should be made to arrange an acceptable date for all players before the deadline for that round. As this is a Midweek Knockout, the two dates offered must be between Monday and Friday at reasonable time during the day. However, if all players agree, a match may be played at the weekend. In the event that a match cannot be arranged before the deadline, then the match result shall be decided by the Competition Organiser who will make judgement or determine the result via the toss of a coin. Short extensions to the deadlines will only be considered for very exceptional circumstances and at the Competition Organisers' discretion, who will have the final say.
